Roman Lesyk was born in Stary Sambir, Lviv region, Ukraine, in 1968. He received the MSc in pharmacy, PhD and DSc degrees from Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University (DH LNMU) in 1993, 1996 and 2004 respectively. He is a Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical, Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry (DH LNMU).
