简介
Dr Majid Niaz Akhtar completed his PhD in June 2012 from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. He obtained his post-doctoral degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in July 2015. During his PhD, he presented his work on magnetic materials for antenna application in seabed logging. Dr. Majid had completed his Master of Philosophy and Master of Science degrees in Physics at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. He got Gold medal awards in M. Phil and MSc classes at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. In addition, three international awards were secured during PhD study at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.

Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Physics, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. After completing his Masters studies, he worked as a lecturer in Army Public Degree College, Multan. During his M.Phil studies, he worked as a visiting lecturer in Govt. College of Technology, Multan and Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan. After PhD studies, Dr. Majid joined as an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department of COMSATS University Islamabad (Lahore Campus) in August 2012. He supervised more than 20 MS/M.Phil and 2 PhD students. The details are listed in the CV (see attachment).
He joined MNS University of Engineering & Technology Multan on November 30, 2016 as an Assistant Professor. His key achievements as Head of the department include:
Establishment of the Department of Physics at MNS UET
Establishment of Physics Laboratories for Engineering, BS and MSc students
Arranging seminars and prompting them to explore new areas of research and development.
Dr. Majid has 15 years of teaching and research experience. He has worked on various projects and contributed in the form of publications. Dr. Majid has published more than 226 research papers, including 10 Book chapters published by Springer Nature/Elsevier. Presently, he has a 1250 accumulative impact factor with h-index of 50. Dr. Majid has also participated in and presented his work in national and international conferences.
