Ivo Petras received M.Sc. (1997) degree, Ph.D. (2000) degree, and DrSc. (2013) degree in Process control at the Technical University of Kosice and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, respectively. He works at the Institute of Control and Informatization of Production Processes, Faculty of BERG, Technical University of Kosice as a Professor and Institute director. His research interests include control systems, automation and applied mathematics. He is a member of IEEE, IFAC, and SSAKI. In 2005 he received Award from Ministry of Education in Slovak Republic in category young scientist to 35 years. He has published 4 books, 5 book chapters, over 60 journal papers and over 90 refereed conference papers.
