Old school high spinner. Coincident gamma-ray spectroscopist using multidetector germanium arrays to study nuclear structure at extreme values of angular momentum. After completing a Ph D in Nuclear Structure Physics at Manchester University, I spent four years at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, before returning to the University of Liverpool. I have now retired from teaching but continuing research at Liverpool in an Honorary position.
