Dr. Thai Hoang Chien is a researcher at Division of Computational Mechanics, Institute for Advanced Study in Technology, Ton Duc Thang University, Vietnam. He received his PhD in computational mechanics from University of Science - Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in 2015. He holds an B.E. (2002) in the physics from University of Science in Vietnam and an MSc (2007) from University of Liège in Engineering Science of Mechanics of Construction (EMMC) program. His research focuses on computational science and engineering for the development of robust computational methods with high performance computing. His research interests include computational mechanics, isogeometric analysis, meshfree method, composite and functionally graded material, functionally graded carbon nanotube-reinforced composite material, and specially theoretical and computational plate and shell analysis.
