Prof. Dr. Yan-Zhen Zheng earned his PhD degree for Inorganic Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Xiao-Ming Chen in Sun Yat-Sen University in 2007. He then became an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow in the University Karlsruhe (TH) under the host of Prof. Annie K. Powell. After one and a half year stay in Karlsruhe he moved to RWTH Aachen University, working with Prof. Paul Koegerler. In September 2009 he became a Marie Curie Fellow in The University of Manchester, working with Prof. Richard E. P. Winpenny. In October 2011 he was appointed as a Principal Investigator at the level of Professor in Frontier Institute of Science and Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University. His research interest lies in molecule-based magnetic materials and functional coordination complexes in general.
