Dr. Xiong Zhang is currently working as an Associate Professor of the State Key Laboratory of Coal Combustion, School of Energy and Power Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He received his PhD degree in 2016 from HUST. He has been engaged in the preparation and application of functional biomass-based carbon materials, such as adsorption, catalysis, energy storage, carbon dioxide capture and conversion, etc. He has published more than 50 papers and holds more than ten patents granted in the China. His research works were supported by the “National Natural Science Foundation”, “National Key Research and Development Program” of China, etc. In addition, he serves as an invited expert of China Materials Science High-Level Talent Expert Think Tank. In 2021, he received IAAM Scientist Medal (International Association of Advanced Materials,IAAM).
