Prof. Vladimir Stojanovic received the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering / Control Theory from the University of Kragujevac, Serbia. He is a Head of the Department of Automatic Control, Robotics and Fluid Technique at the Faculty of Mechanical and Civil Engineering in Kraljevo, University of Kragujevac, Serbia. He has received multiple awards from the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development for his outstanding academic achievements. Prof. Vladimir Stojanovic has participated in numerous national and international research projects funded by the Serbian Ministry and the European Union. He is ranked among the Top 2% of the world’s most influential scientists (Stanford University, USA) and in the world’s top 0.05% scientists in the field of Engineering and Computer Sciences (ScholarGPS, USA). He is an IEEE Senior Member and serves (or has served) on the Editorial Boards of several leading international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Review, Neural Computing and Applications, Complex and Intelligent Systems, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Journal of the Franklin Institute, Control Engineering Practice, and others. His current research interests include intelligent control, robotics, stochastic systems, system identification, learning systems, neural networks, fuzzy systems, and fault-tolerant control.
