Victoria Clarke

Victoria Clarke graduated from Brunel University (UK) with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and then completed an ESRC funded PhD in Women's Studies and Psychology in the Department of Social Sciences at Loughborough University (UK). They spent a year as a Research Fellow at the Department of Psychology at Exeter University (UK) and then joined the University of the West of England, Bristol (UK) as a Lecturer in Social Psychology in 2003. They are currently an Associate Professor in Qualitative and Critical Psychology at UWE. They are primarily known for the development of reflexive thematic analysis with Professor Virginia Braun from the University of Auckland (NZ). With Professor Braun (and others) they have written extensively about reflexive thematic analysis and qualitative methods more broadly. They have also conducted research in the intersecting areas of family and relationships, appearance and embodiment, and gender and sexuality.
