I was born in Merida, Venezuela in 1956, and did my Medical Career and Psychiatric Residence at Los Andes University Medical School, Venezuela. My research interests are: 1) The metabolic effects of psychotropic drugs; 2) Safety and efficacy of Clozapine administration in patients others that schizophrenia; 3) The teaching of evolutionary thinking in physicians, mainly psychiatrists; 4) Application of Arthur Schopenhauer's thought in psychology and psychiatry.
