Tenaw is a public health scholar who completed his PhD in May 2021 from the School of Medicine and Public Health, the University of Newcastle. He trained a BSc in Public Health (2011) and Masters in Reproductive Health (2014) from Hawassa and Haramaya Universities. Tenaw has been serving as a lecturer of Public Health at Debre Markos University since 2011. He was the head of Public Health Department of Debre Markos University from 2016 – 2017 before he left the position for his PhD study. Tenaw is currently working as a Research Fellow in the Cancer Epidemiology and Population Health Unit at the University of South Australia.
