Taron Makaryan

As a Materials Engineer, I enjoy working in teams on challenging tasks wherein I can learn new things about materials and see their performance as a device part. This attitude allowed me to gain experience in various disciplines ranging from material design by chemical synthesis and microfabrication, to characterization by optical or electronic means, as well as device testing for energy storage or other electronic applications. Nowadays, working in Germany for an Estonian HQ-ed company, I am enjoying being part of a team that helps to bring high power of ultracapacitors to the market. I developed considerate leadership skills while participating in projects with diverse personnel in Europe, Asia and USA. I had the pleasure to pass on my hands-on skills related to instruments or techniques to co-workers. Published 25 peer-reviewed papers, submitted 3 patents and participated/presented in numerous international conferences. Enjoying DIY: carpentry, electronics.
