Stephen M. Smith

I am a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford and head the Analysis Group at the Wellcome Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging. Our group carries out research into new methodologies for the analysis of functional and structural brain imaging data. Our research is also turned into software tools that are available in the FSL package, which is free to all academic and non-profit institutions. The group has played a major role in the Human Connectome Project (Smith, TICS 2013; Smith, NeuroImage 2014), UK Biobank Imaging (Miller, Nature Neuroscience 2016), and the Developing Human Connectome Project.
