Stefano Tarantola

I am a Scientific Officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission since 1996. I graduated in Nuclear Engineering in 1992 and received my PhD in Science and Technologies for Engineering at the Polytechnic of Milan in 1996. I conduct and coordinate methodological work in the field of global sensitivity analysis and innovation indicators for the European Commission. I have experience in uncertainty modelling and quasi Monte Carlo simulation. I am author of papers in the peer-reviewed literature, co-author of four books on sensitivity analysis and of a handbook on composite indicators development with the OECD. I organise summer schools, training courses and conferences in sensitivity analysis.
