I received my PhD in the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the same Department. My research focuses on using mathematical and/or statistical modeling approaches to study the transmission dynamics of emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases to shed light and understand the spread, persistence, control, and prevention mechanisms. And suggest some set of optimal control strategies that help maintain disease transmission at a low level with minimal socio-economic disruption, which might help public health practitioners and policymakers generate a sustainable plan.
