侯赛因·萨哈达特

Dr Sahadat Hossain is a Public Health academic and researcher who completed his PhD in Behavioural Science and Health at University College London (UCL), funded by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom. He holds a Master of Science degree in Public Health and Informatics from Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, graduating first in his cohort with a GPA of 3.83 out of 4.00, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in the same field, with a CGPA of 3.75 out of 4.00. Dr Hossain currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Public Health and Informatics at Jahangirnagar University. He has published over sixty research articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has held leadership roles in several research initiatives, including serving as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator on projects funded by the Institute for Global Tobacco Control, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA. In 2023, he was selected as a Young Scientist to participate in the 72nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting dedicated to Physiology/Medicine, held in Lindau, Germany. During the event, he engaged in inspiring discussions and scientific exchange with 38 Nobel Laureates and over 600 Young Scientists from across the globe. He is also actively engaged in academic leadership and previously served as the 11th President of the Jahangirnagar University Science Club. His research interests include behavioural science, psychological well-being, addiction and tobacco control, sedentary lifestyle, chronic non-communicable diseases, and large-scale epidemiological studies. He is committed to building a dedicated, ethical, and impactful career in public health academia and research, with the overarching aim of serving humanity.
