I am currently a Chair Professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the Chang Gung University (CGU), Taiwan (URL: http://www.cgu.edu.tw/). I received my BS and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering from the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. Before joining CGU in 2014, I worked as a faculty member in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the Yuan Ze University, Taiwan, during August 1989 to January 2014. My research interests primarily cover the sciences and technologies (thermodynamics, kinetics, mass transfer, etc.) of various separation processes including membrane processes. These techniques have been applied in various fields of chemical, environmental, and biochemical engineering. I am now an Associate Editor of Journal of the Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers and an Editorial Board member of Separation and Purification Technology, which all are SCI-indexed journals. Moreover, I have served as an Editor-in-Chief of Membrane Water Treatment (Techno Press Co.) between August 2009 and December 2018 as well as of Current Biochemical Engineering (Bentham Science Publishers) between July 2012 and April 2019.
