Ronald C.W.

Ronald C. Ma is Professor at the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Honorary Consultant Physician at the Prince of Wales Hospital. He is a Past President of Diabetes Hongkong (2010-2012), a charitable voluntary organisation dedicated to the promotion of diabetes social awareness. Dr Ma completed his medical training at the University of Cambridge, UK, and trained in internal medicine in London. He subsequently moved to Hong Kong, where he completed his endocrinology fellowship training. Following this training, he conducted research on diabetic complications at the Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA, under the mentorship of Dr George King. In the course of his research, Dr Ma has published over 500 research articles in international peer-reviewed journals and has authored 13 book chapters.
