简介

Reda M. Abdelhameed (born 1982) is an associate professor of organic chemistry (metal-organic frameworks) at the National Research Center. He is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC) since 2015 and of the Egyptian chemical Society since 2004. In 2014, he received his Ph.D. in chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Aveiro University, Portugal working on the post-synthetic modification of the metal-organic framework, under the supervisor of Professor Joao Rocha and Professor Artur Silva. This was followed by a one-year post-doc in the same group working on a metal-organic framework. In 2018, he obtained a post-doctoral research fellowship in Diamond Light Source, Oxford University, UK. He has published 100 SCI papers (h-index 40). He has large experience in the synthesis of metal-organic framework (MOFs) and its post-synthetic modification (PSM) for adsorption of toxic compounds, catalysis uses photoluminescence and magnetism. Among his experience is the characterization of MOFs with PXRD, SEM, TEM, solid-state NMR, FT-IR, and single-crystal X-rays. Moreover, he has experience in Pesticide Chemistry and Toxicology such as the synthesis of radiolabel pesticides, extraction of various organic compounds (pesticides) in all environmental systems using radioassay methods, and determination of pesticides residues by using HPLC, TLC, and GC/ MS techniques. Dr. Reda obtained five national prizes and he supervised more than 10 students between MSc and Ph.D.
