Qing Jiang

Chief physician / Professor / Doctoral supervisor / The head of the department of Sports Medicine and Adult Reconstructive Surgery, Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital. Prof. Jiang had been engaged in orthopedic and sports medicine clinical and basic research since 1989. He is not only the first sports medicine clinical doctor cultivated by China, and also is the only winner of National Outstanding Youth Fund of the sports medicine profession. The department of Sports Medicine and Adult Reconstructive Surgery is the only joint disease diagnosis and treatment center identified by Jiangsu Provincial Health Department, and also the training base of artificial joint and arthroscopic techniques in Jiangsu province. And it was recognized as the sub-center of National Orthopedics and Sports Rehabilitation Clinical Research Center. The clinical and basic research of Osteoarthritis performed by Pro. Jiang’s team had won the first prize of medical new technology introduction of Jiangsu provincial health commission in 2019, the first prize of 2018 Science and Technology Awards of Jiangsu Province, and second prize of the award for 2015 Natural Science Awards of China education ministry. And Prof. Jiang is the first domestic scholars who hold the post of committee member of the OARSI, and he is the vice chair of China branch of basic research branch of SICOT, the vice chair of China branch of ICRS, the vice chairman of sports medicine branch of Chinese medical association, the chairman of sports medicine branch of Jiangsu province, vice chairman of orthopedics branch, vice chairman of trauma branch, the head of Nanjing Drum Tower hospital orthopedics laboratory of ICMRS, etc. Prof. Jiang is the editorial board member of several SCI magazines, include BMC musculoskeletal disorders, Osteoarthritis and Cartilage and Orthopedic Surgery, and created an English magazine Annals of Joint (aoj.amegroups.com) as the chief editor.
