Dr Wu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health, the University of Hong Kong. She received clinical training in China and later graduated with a PhD in infectious disease epidemiology at the University of Hong Kong. Dr Wu's primary research focus is in epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance and respiratory virus infections including human and avian influenza, respiratory syncytial virus, hand, foot and mouth disease, etc. Recently she has been working on investigation of the burden and transmission dynamics of the infectious diseases and optimisation of potential interventions in control of diseases of interest based on underlying biological mechanisms.
