Oludare Isaac Abiodun holds two Ph.D. degrees in science fields with great uniqueness. That is, one Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science with specialization in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics from the Universiti Sains Malaysia, George Town, Penang, Malaysia, in 2020. But earlier on, he received a Postgraduate Diploma Certificate of Education from the National Teachers Institute in Kaduna, Nigeria, in 2015. However, he obtained his first Ph.D. in Nuclear and Radiation Physics with a specialization in Nuclear Security from the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, in 2012. He has a Master of Technology Degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria, in 2004. Likewise, he earned a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Nigeria, in 1997.
His research interests include cybersecurity, digital forensics, artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchain, nuclear security, nuclear power plant security, national security terrorism, IoT security, and criminal profiling. He received a prestigious postgraduate scholarship award from cyber safety and education in the United States of America (USA) in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
In addition, he gathered certificates and skills in many computer fields, including oracle database application developer. He acquired experience from both academia and industry. He is passionate about research that focuses on improving computer science and its sub-domains such as software engineering, cybersecurity, digital forensic artificial intelligence (AI), security of the Internet of Things (IoTs), data science, criminal profiling, terrorism prevention, drone application to security and national security, nuclear security, and nuclear energy development.
He has also won lots of research funding grants in diverse fields due to his ability to perform world-class research, including a grant from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund) for Institutional Based Research in Nigeria. He has earned a plethora of local and international collaborations in research, including Abu Dhabi University in the United Arab Emirates.
Over the years, he has had outstanding work in applying AI to many fields and in nuclear energy development. Intertwining, he has achieved more than 70 article publications in high-impact factor journals with over 6,000 citations to his credit, as revealed in his Google Scholar profile. Currently, his work is the most cited in his institution, the University of Abuja.
He is a member of many local professional organizations, which include the Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) and the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS). His international professional membership consists of the International Association of Engineers (AIENG), in Hong Kong, and the International Society for Development & Sustainability (ISDS), in Japan. He is also a member of the European Centre for Research, Training, and Development (ECRTD) in the United Kingdom (UK).
Recently Isaac Oludare Abiodun was named among the world’s best scientists which was also captured in the UniAbuja monthly bulletin of October 2023 and November 2024 editions respectively.
He is one of the authors that has been projecting Nigeria’s name on the world map for the past five years through world-class research outcomes. He received a BRONZE Medal award from the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah, in recognition of his world-class research publications (Sponsored Projects UNIABUJA Author 2023 University of Abuja. 2023).
Recently, Isaac Oludare Abiodun was honoured by the then Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Abuja, Professor Aisha Sani- Maikudi with the Merit Award in recognition of his Outstanding Services for the year 2024 as the Best Scholastic Academic Staff of the year. Infact, he is one of the researchers that the Presidency should recognize and appreciate for putting Nigeria’s name on the world map through a great breakthrough in world-class research.
Currently, he is affiliated with the Department of Computer Science, University of Abuja, Gwagwalada, Nigeria. Similarly, he is a shareholder in a registered ICT company known as ABISAAC investment limited.
