Dr. Oxana Smirnova is an Associate Professor at the Division of Particle and Nuclear Physics in Lund University, Sweden. A graduate of Moscow State University, she obtained Ph.D. in physics from Lund University, working with the DELPHI experiment at CERN. Her areas of interest are QCD and multiparticle correlations. She is now a member of the ATLAS collaboration at CERN, being one of the developers of the distributed Grid computing model. Oxana Smirnova is a CERN liaison of the Nordic e-Infrastructure Collaboration, representing it towards the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid. She is also one of the designers of the NorduGrid ARC middleware.
