Dr. Muhammad Tahir is a associate professor at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), specializing in advanced functional materials for sustainable energy and environmental applications. His research focuses on photocatalysis, MXenes and two-dimensional (2D) materials, nanomaterials, water splitting, green hydrogen production, CO₂ conversion, and electrochemical energy storage systems including batteries and supercapacitors.
His work is centered on the development of innovative nanostructured materials and catalytic systems for renewable energy generation, energy storage, and environmental remediation. Dr. Tahir has contributed extensively to the fields of clean energy technologies, sustainable catalysis, and advanced materials engineering through interdisciplinary research and international collaborations.
In addition to his research activities, he is actively involved in promoting sustainability initiatives and scientific collaboration through conferences, research projects, and academic engagement in areas related to climate action, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
