简介

Muhammad Hamzah Saleem is a Research Assistant at Qatar University and a PhD scholar at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. He holds a Master's degree in Crop Cultivation and Farming Systems from Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, China. His research primarily focuses on environmental stress physiology, plant–microbe interactions, phytoremediation, heavy metal detoxification, and wastewater treatment. With over 11,000 citations and an h-index of 62, he has made significant contributions to the fields of environmental science, agronomy, and agricultural plant science. Hamzah’s research spans the investigation of plant anatomical and physiological responses under abiotic stress conditions, particularly in the context of heavy metals such as cadmium, lead, chromium, copper, and arsenic. His work integrates biochemical assays, gene expression analysis, and advanced remediation strategies including the use of nanoparticles, bioinoculants, and organic acids to mitigate metal toxicity in plants. His publications have appeared in leading journals such as Journal of Plant Growth Regulation, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, Plants, and Agronomy. He currently serves as a peer reviewer for several reputable journals, including PLOS One, PeerJ, Pakistan Journal of Botany, and Sustainability. He has received the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents and the CSC Scholarship for his academic excellence and research potential. Muhammad Hamzah Saleem is fluent in English, Chinese, and Urdu, and is committed to advancing sustainable agriculture and environmental resilience through innovative biotechnological solutions.
