Mohammad Jawaid

Dr. Mohammad Jawaid is currently working as Professor at Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Dept, College of Engineering, United Arab Emirates University, UAE. Previously he worked as Senior Fellow (Professor), at Biocomposite Technology Laboratory, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. He is working in composite field since 2008 and having 10 years of experience in teaching, research in the field of composites. His area of research interests includes Hybrid Reinforced/Filled Polymer Composites, Advance Materials: Graphene/Nanoclay/Fire Retardant, Lignocellulosic Reinforced/Filled Polymer Composites, Modification and Treatment of Lignocellulosic Fibres and Solid Wood, Nano Composites and Nanocellulose fibres. 40 PhD students and 12 Master students graduated under his Supervision in the field of hybrid composites, Green composites, Nanocomposites, Natural fibre reinforced composites, etc. during 2013-2023. He has several Research grant at University/National/International level on polymer composites and its related research of around RM 8 million (USD 2 million). So far he has published 55 books, 75 book chapters, and more than 450 International journal papers in reputed Journal in the field of Composites and allied field. His Published 5 review paper under Top 25 hot articles in science direct from 2014-2020. His H index 100(Google); 835(Scopus).
