Dr. Meilin Liu is the Hightower Chair and Regents' Professor of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. From 2010 to 2015, he also served as Associate Director of the HeteroFoaM Center, a DOE Energy Frontier Research Center at USC. He is a Fellow of the Electrochemical Society (ECS), the American Ceramic Society (ACerS), the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), and the European Academy of Sciences (EurASc) . His research interests include in situ characterization and multi-scale modeling of charge and mass transfer along surfaces, across interfaces, and in membranes, thin films, and nanostructured electrodes, aiming at achieving rational design of materials and structures with unique functionalities for efficient energy storage and conversion.
