Mauro Rossi

Mauro Rossi is a Research Director at the Institute of Research for the Geo-Hydrological Protection, of the Italian National Research Council. His research activities are mainly focused on: (i) Multi-scale modelling of the geo-hydrological processes; (ii) AI algorithms for the assessment and zonation of susceptibility and hazard posed by geo-hydrological processes; (iii) Earth Observations data analysis for the mapping and modelling of geo-hydrological phenomena; (iv) Climatic and territorial data cube analysis for the prediction of geo-hydrological processes and related impacts; (v) Development and implementation of Territorial (over large areas) Early Warning Systems for the forecast of geo-hydrological phenomena; (vi) Design, development and release of open source software for numerical modelling of geo-hydrological processes and related variables.
