Dr. Mansoor Khan is the Dean and University Distinguished Professor at Texas A&M University College of Pharmacy. Prior to this job, he has served FDA for over 11 years as the Director of Product Quality Research and a Senior Biomedical Research Scientist (SBRS) at CDER, where he helped develop regulatory policies for reviews and compliance, and led chemistry and manufacturing control (cmc) review and research teams on drug delivery systems, product stability, biotech products, and biopharmaceutics. Dr. Khan served as a FDA representative to EMA (European Medical Agency), WHO, USP, NIH, DoD, DARPA, NASA, and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He also served as the science policy advisor to CDER Center Director where he helped resolve complex issues of drug reviews and compliance with science. He has also led the review team that approved the first 3D printed tablets in August 2015. Dr. Khan is the recipient of AAPS Distinguished Scientist Award, IPEC Council and NIPTE Distinguished Scientist Awards. Khan has published over 370 peer-reviewed manuscripts through grants from NIH, FDA, NIST and others.
