Dr. Manje Gowda is a Senior Molecular Geneticist for CIMMYT-Africa, located in Nairobi, Kenya. His research focuses on supporting the breeding team by integrating novel tools to develop high-yielding, climate-resilient maize inbred lines and hybrids for sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). His work focuses on the integration of innovative tools and techniques such as Marker-assisted back crossing, forward breeding, quality control, and genomic selection (GS). He has published over 98 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has supervised Ph.D. and M.Sc. students from various countries.
