简介

Luis M. Liz-Marzán is a PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela (1992) and has been postdoc at the van 't Hoff Laboratory (Utrecht University) and visiting professor at various institutions worldwide. After holding several academic positions at the University of Vigo (1993 to 2012), he is currently Ikerbasque Research Professor of the Basque Center of Cooperative Research in Biomaterials (CIC biomaGUNE), for which he served as the Scientific Director from 2012 to 2021. He is also a group leader at the CIBER-BBN consortium and since 2022 he holds a part-time Professor position and Group Leader at the Cinbio Institute of the University of Vigo He serves as an Associate Editor of ACS Nano, Reviewing Editor of Science and editorial advisory board member of several chemistry, nanotechnology and materials science journals. Liz-Marzán is a member of the Royal Academy of Sciences of Spain, European Academy of Sciences and Academia Europaea. He is co-author of about 600 publications and 10 patents, and has received several national and international research awards, including two ERC Advanced Grants (2011-2016; 2018-2023). His current interests include nanoparticle synthesis and assembly, nanoplasmonics, chiral nanomaterials, and development of nanoparticle-based sensing and diagnostic tools.
