Lucindo José Quintans‐Júnior

Graduated in PHARMACY from the Federal University of Paraíba - UFPB (1993-1997), completed Master's (1998-2000) and PhD (2000-2004) in Natural Products and Bioactive Compounds (Area: PHARMACY) from UFPB. Conducted post-doctoral research in NEUROSCIENCE at the University of Iowa (UIOWA, USA) (2012-2013). Currently holds the position of Full Professor in the Department of Physiology at the Federal University of Sergipe (DFS/UFS) and serves as the Coordinator of the National Institute of Science Technology Rede Norte-Nordeste de Fitoprodutos (INCT - RENNOFITO) at UFS, with Prof. Marcelo Sobral (UFPB) as the general coordinator. He is a Professor in the Postgraduate Programs in PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES (Master/PhD - being one of the founding professors of the program at UFS) and in HEALTH SCIENCES (M/D). Additionally, he is a Collaborating Professor in the Graduate Program in BIOLOGICAL CHEMISTRY at the Regional University of Cariri (URCA). Member of the Brazilian Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences (ABCF), Brazilian Society of Pharmacognosy (SBF), Brazilian Society of Neuroscience and Behavior (SBNeC), Network of Technological Innovation Centers - Northeast (NIT-NE), The American Society of Pharmacognosy (ASP), and the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET). He is also part of FB2NP - Franco-Brazilian network on Natural Products. His current research interests encompass Pharmaceutical Sciences, Neuroscience, Chemistry, Pharmacology of Natural Products, Therapeutic Innovation, Biotechnology in Health, and Pharmacology of Pain and Inflammation.
