Having worked across the forest zone of Africa, from Sierra Leone to Uganda, first as a primatologist and zoologist, then on forestry, botany and archeology my research work is mostly focused on the history and ecology of the African rain forests and their reaction to climate change. Research currently takes a back seat to my day job - as Gabon's Minister of Water, Forests, the Sea and Environment charged with Climate Change, Sustainable Development Goals and Land-use Planning.
