Luis Masana Marín, doctor of Medicine, specialist in Internal Medicine. Postdoc at the Saint Thomas Hospital in London. He is Professor at the Rovira i Virgili University in Reus (Tarragona) where he directs the Vascular and Metabolic Medicine Unit. His field of interest, both in research and in his clinical practice, are alterations in lipid metabolism and its relationship with arteriosclerosis. Full Member of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia. He has been president of the Spanish Society of Arteriosclerosis. Former member of the Executive Committee of the European Society of Arteriosclerosis. He has published more than 300 articles in the field of dyslipidemia and arteriosclerosis and is part of the Scientific Board of several journals in the specialty.
