Dr Kuldeep Dhama, M.V.Sc., PhD (Gold Medalist) is working as Principal Scientist in Division of Pathology, Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, Bareilly (UP) India. He did his schooling from New Delhi and graduation [B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Hons.), 1992] from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, and M.V.Sc. (1994) & Ph.D. (2002) from IVRI. With 26 years of research experience in diagnosis, vaccines and control of important livestock and poultry diseases zoonotic pathogens, working especially in the areas of microbiology, immunology, virology, biotechnology and molecular biology. He has handled 18 Research Projects, Guided 20 M.V.Sc./P.D. scholars. He has to his credit nearly 1000 publications in various scientific journals of repute, books, and magazines including 300 research articles, 400 review, 100 short articles, 08 books, 70 Book Chapters, 100 Popular/Technical Articles and others. He is member of 18 professional/scientific societies and honored with 55 Best Paper Awards as well as other high recognitions and honors at both national and international levels. He has organized ten Conferences/Symposium/Workshops/Training programs in various capacities. He has worked as Nodal Officer, WTO and Member, Wildlife Health Specialist Group (IUCN). He has been awarded NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Science, India) Associateship (Young Scientist Recognition). Working as Key Member, Scientific Steering Committee (SSC), One Health Action Commission (OHAC), Supported by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The One Health Joint Plan of Action launched by FAO, UNEP, WHO, and the WOAH/OIE. He is recognized among Top 2% researchers in the world, Received Highly Cited Researchers 2021 & 2022 Award by Clarivate (Web of Science) across all disciplines in science. He has Guest edited 12 special issues of scientific journals including Current Drug Metabolism, Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics, Env Res, Vaccines. He is working in different capacities as EIC/Co-EIC, Editor, Member, Editorial Board and Reviewer of several scientific journals/magazines of repute . His Google Scholar h-index is 115 with 60000 citations.
