Kannan R. R. Rengasamy

Dr Kannan RR Rengasamy has a proven track record in research toward drug discovery and experimental therapeutics. He has been working in several research positions at reputed international organizations. He is a Professor heading the Laboratory of Natural Products and Medicinal Chemistry (LNPMC) at Saveetha Medical College & Hospital, Chennai, India. He also associated with the Centre of Excellence for Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacen), North-West University, South Africa, as an Extraordinary Professor. Dr Rengasamy is a recipient of the prestigious Claude Leon Foundation fellowship and NRF Innovation Fellowship. He has now secured an NRF “C” Rating from the National Research Foundation, South Africa, for the year 2022-2027. Dr Rengasamy has expertise in the chemistry of medicinal plants, lead design, synthesis and experimental therapeutics. He has published more than 178 papers in SCI (E) journals and editor of highly reputed journals in pharmacology. Furthermore, he is active in developing strong collaboration and is a member of the International Lipid Expert Panel and a Collaborator of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, USA.
