简介

Studied at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, first physics and then in parallel computer science, both finished with the Master of Science degree in 1982 and 1985, respectively. Employed at the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Krakow, received there the PhD degree in 1989 and habilitation degrees in 2011. Involved in the high-energy physics experiments which were conducted in several facilities with particle accelerators, especially Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA and CERN, Switzerland, most recently in the ATLAS experiment at CERN. Actively contributing to the software development, data processing and physics analyses. Working at the Institute of Nuclear Physics all the time, but also employed as visiting scientist at Louisiana State University, USA, Centre de Recherches Nucléaires de Starsbourg, France, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, and Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA and frequently visiting CERN laboratory, Switzerland. Invited to give talks at various international conferences related to particle physics. Engaged in the outreach activities, as a representative of Poland at the International Particle Physics Outreach Group.
