Areas of expertise:
Bridging the gap between epidemiology and clinical trials in cardiovascular disease, with a special emphasis on pharmaco-epidemiology (especially diuretic therapy), cardiac dysfunction and heart failure. Current interests include the influence of myocardial substrate on therapeutic response, mechanism of recovery of ventricular dysfunction, congestion and inflammation as novel therapeutic targets, iron deficiency, telemonitoring and theranostics.
