Prof. Janaka Ekanayake is attached to the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka as a Professor since April 2013. He is also a visiting Professor at the Cardiff School of Engineering and UNITEN, Malaysia. He co-authored six books published by leading publishers such as John Wiley, Cambridge Press and IET, UK. He has also published more than 180 journal and conference papers. He is a Fellow of IEEE, USA; IET, UK; and IESL, Sri Lanka. He is also recognised as an IEEE PES distinguished lecturer. He is a member of the editorial board of IET Renewable Energy journal and Journal of Wind Energy.
