简介

After graduation in Technological Physics at University of Lisbon in 1999, I integrated the group responsible for the Portuguese activities under the ATLAS international collaboration responsible for the deployment of the biggest generic detector in operation in the Large Hadron Collider at CERN. In 2005, I finished a Master Degree in Particle Physics and Astrophysical and was awarded with a 5 year FCT doctoral grant to pursue key activities towards the design, installation, commissioning, certification and validation of the ATLAS Hadronic Calorimeter detector, as well as of the associated electronics and control system in which ended as one of the main developers. During my PhD work, I also gave a strong contribution to the validation of the Hadronic Calibration method presently used by ATLAS collaboration. In 2011 I completed the PhD in High Energy Particle Physics, and during these 5 years I was able to gain in fundamental skills at physics research activities namely Data Analysis and Monte Carlo techniques but also at Computational level in the domains of Control Systems and Grid Computing. I was once more awarded by FCT with a post-doc grant to continue to pursue ATLAS Hadronic Calibration and bridge Grid technologies with the demands of the ATLAS Portuguese local researchers, integrated in the LIP Computer Research team. Presently i'm also involved in major FP7 European Projects, like the EGI-Inspire on which he takes part of key tasks related to the early adoption of new Grid middleware and to provide support to the portuguese Grid community aiming to foster the multi-scientific usage of grid technologies. Since January of 2013 i'm coordinator of the deployment and testing of grid middleware for the EGI e-infrastructure as part of the LIP responsibilities in the 7th FP EGI-INSPIRE project.
