He is a Distinguished Professor and Distinguished Young Professor, Nankai Distinguished Professor, Nankai Outstanding Professor, 1st-Level Tianjin 131 Creative Talent, and Associate Dean at NanKai University, as well as formerly a Minjiang Lecture Professor, Qianjiang Talent, Zhijiang Young Social Science Talent, Principal Investigator of Funding for Zhejiang Provincial Outstanding Young Scientists, and a Visiting Scholar of OSU Engineering College, Columbus. He also serve as the Chief Scientist of the Major Project in Philosophy and Social Sciences by China Education Ministry, and the Program Leader of National High-End Foreign Expert and National Foreign Young Talent by China Science and Technology Ministry. He is the Tianjin Challenge Cup Excellent Instructor, and an instructor of Challenge Cup National Grand Prize. He leads a team of Tianjin Social Science Innovation, a team of Nankai BaiQing Pace-Setter in Scientific Research, and a team of Nankai Social Science Innovation. He holds the titles of IEEE Senior Member and IACTS Fellow, and is among the less than 10 people of the Global Top 2% Scientists in Tourism and Artificial Intelligence Intersect. Furthermore, he has served as Principal Investigator for 8 Major and General National fundings, and is an Associate Editor of Journal of Information Technology and Tourism, Editorial Board Member for Tourism Management and Tourism Economics, and some Chinese journals. His guidance has led graduate students to achieve accolades such as National Technical Expert, Zhejiang Craftsman, Nankai Top10 Graduates, APJTR Paper of the Year by APTA, Excellent Culture and Tourism Research Award by China Tourism Academy, Best PhD Proposal by IFITT in Enter, Excellent PhD Thesis Award by Nankai, Excellent Master Thesis Award by Nankai, Excellent Undergraduate Thesis Award by Nankai, and Outstanding Graduate of Nankai. He was also granted the Excellent PhD Thesis Award by HIT, Excellent Mater Thesis Award by both Heilongjiang Province and HIT, Excellent Undergraduate Thesis Award by HIT, and Outstanding Graduate of Heilongjiang Province (or HIT) for three times.
