His research interests include (1) Green synthesis of metallic nanoparticles (NPs); (2) NPs as laser desorption/ionization matrices in mass spectrometry; (3) Aptamers and proteins functionalized NPs for the detection of metal ions, small molecules, proteins, DNA, bacteria and tumor cells; (4) Preparation of nanodrugs for anticoagulation of blood; (5) NP based fuel cells.
