He received his PhD degree in 2001 from Shandong University, China. His current research interests cover the synthesis of nanomaterials for electronic devices, energy applications, tissue engineering, as well as nonlinear optics. He has published over 427 peer reviewed papers and 200 as first author or corresponding author, such as Energy Environ. Sci., Nano Lett., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. Engl., Adv.
