Dr. Fan is a Professor in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. He received his PhD from National University of Singapore in 2003. After that he was a postdoc at Max-Planck-Institute of Microstructure Physics, Germany, and later at Cambridge University. In 2008 he became a faculty in NTU. Dr. Fan’s current research focuses on energy materials and devices towards better sustainability, including electrocatalysis for water electrolysis and CO2 conversion, and aqueous batteries. Dr. Fan has published more than 350 journal papers (H-index 119). He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Materials Today Energy, and Editorial Board Member of several journals such as Energy & Environmental Science, Advanced Science, Small, eScience, Advanced Materials Technology, etc. He has been ranked by Clarivate Web of Science "Highly Cited Researchers" since 2016.
