Frede Donskov

I perform dedicated clinical and translational research focused on understanding cancer and improving outcomes. In 1999, I was the first in Denmark to gain approval from Ethics Committee for serial core needle biopsies from metastatic lesions in patients with metastatic kidney cancer treated with immunotherapy, to study the immune infiltrate within the tumor. Based on these translational investigations, I characterized the immune response in blood and tumor tissue and obtained a doctoral thesis (DMSc). My main research interest is biological therapy, immunotherapy, toxicity-adjusted dosing, on-target biomarkers, functional imaging, and patient-related factors.
