Dong Wang is a professor at Wuhan Textile University and also holds the title of adjunct professor at Donghua University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Fiber and Polymer Science at the University of California, Davis in 2008. His research interests are smart textiles, nanofiber-based filtration, and separation materials, nanofiber-based biosensing and biomedical materials, and functional polymer fibers. He won the Youth Science and Technology Award of China in 2016, the Distinguished Achievement Award of the Fiber Society in 2018, and the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of China National Textile and Apparel Council in 2018.
