Delvys Rodríguez‐Abreu

Delvys Rodríguez Abreu, M.D., PhD, is a board-certified medical oncologist specialized in thoracic malignancies. He serves as the director of Medical Oncology Department at the Hospital Universitario Insular of Gran Canaria, Spain, and as associate professor of medicine at the University of Gran Canaria. He leads the lung cancer clinical trials program. He is member of ASCO, ESMO, IASLC and SEOM and member of the board of directors of the SLCG and GETICA. Dr Rodriguez-Abreu earned his medical degree from the University of Havana, then he completed his training in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology at the National Institute of Oncology in Havana, Cuba, followed by a hematology/oncology fellowship at the Oncology Institute of Southern Switzerland, and in the Catalan Institute of Oncology in Barcelona. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed medical publications, including The New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet Oncology, and others.
