简介

Prof. Daniel W. C. Ho received a first class honour in BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in mathematics from the University of Salford, Greater Manchester, UK in 1980, 1982 and 1986 respectively. From 1985 to 1988, he was a Research Fellow in Industrial Control Unit, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. He joined City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong in 1989. He is currently a Chair Professor of Applied Mathematics and Associate Dean (Undergraduate Education) of College of Science. Prof. Ho is a IEEE Fellow (2017) and a Life Fellow (2024). He is also a Chang Jiang Chair Professor, awarded by the Ministry of Education, China (2012). He is named as Highly Cited Researcher in Engineering listed by Clarivate Analytics from 2014 -2024 and is a recipient of the Stanford's top 2% of most highly cited scientists (2020-2024). Prof. Ho is a Subject editor of Journal of Franklin Institute, Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Neural Networks, Asian Journal of Control and a member of Editorial board of IET Control Theory & Applications, Systems Science and Control Engineering. His current research interests include control theory, estimation and filtering theory, complex dynamical distributed networks, multi-agent networks, nonlinear singular systems and stochastic systems.
