Full Professor in Food Science and Deputy Head of School of Science (Research) at the Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand. Food Engineer with a solid background in Food Science & Technology and Experimental/Human Nutrition. Passionate about teaching, I have 15 years of experience teaching both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, with substantial involvement in designing new courses and coordinating BSc and MSc Programs. I supervised over 170 BSc, MBA, MSc, and PhD candidates, as well as postdoctoral fellows. By being cross-sectional, my research integrates Food Chemistry, Toxicology, Food Science, and Nutrition, and topics range from Circular Economy to Functional Ingredients.
