Oana David is Professor of Digital Mental Health at the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, Babeș-Bolyai University, and the Director of the Digital Affective Technologies in Therapy and Assessment Laboratory (DATA LAB), a leading research group in the field of technology based psychological interventions in Romania. Her research is focused on developing and testing innovative digital psychological tools that can support the emotion-regulation, mental health and wellbeing of the youths and adult population. She has developed several technology-based innovative tools: a game based online therapeutic tool, based on a transdiagnostic approach on emotional disorders, that can work as a standalone prevention tool, and mobile ecological tools for the assessment and intervention in acute stress situations. She has won 12 research grants totaling around 2.5 million euros in funding, and she was involved as investigator in another 13 grants. She has undertaken research fellowship at Harvard Medical School (2009), and was invited Honorary Fellow of the International Centre for Coaching Psychology Research, UK. She is currently National Coordinator in the consortium World Mental Health International College Student Initiative (https://www.hcp.med.harvard.edu/wmh/college_student_survey.php), member in the COST Initiative The European Family Support Network (https://eurofamnet.eu/about/aim-and-objectives). She serves as Chief-Editor of the Journal of Evidence-Based Psychotherapies (2019-present), and member in the Editorial Board of the Journal of Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (2014-present), International Journal of Coaching Psychology, European Journal of Counselling Theory, Research and Practice (2019-present). She serves as EU Commission Research grants evaluator in Horizon 2020 competitions. She is also directing the Psychology Clinic for students at BBU, a master program of the Department, and supervises 12 Ph.D. and postdoctoral students.
